I see designs like this and feel completely shitty about my artisitc abilities, because I know there's no way I'd ever dream them up myself. XD
I love all of your intricate whorl patterns, and how you're able to incorporate key elements of your theme into your design so aesthetically. . . those pincers and your lips are absolutely ingenious. <3
And this isn't 'dreamed up'- not planned a'tall, just so off the cuff. It's why I don't do symmetrical things as a rule- because I just get my paint and start painting. If something strikes me as pretty, I keep it. If it's oooglay, I wipe it off.
You should try just getting out makeup and playing. I start with the eyes, usually. Or start in the corner of your face and work outward. You'd be surprised what you can come up with.
I've never been much of a doodler, oddly. . . the idea always come first for me, at the very least. I have to know what I'm going to be doing so I can define my angle of approach and eliminate dumb mistakes.
However, genius usually strikes me unintentionally. I've never sat down thinking "I'm going to create a masterpiece", because the result is usually disappointment. But, sometimes fate, timing, and whimsy are the best contributors. . . the things I'm most proud of art-wise are often the ones that started out with a simple premise, and spiraled into unconscious brilliance. Which is really ironic. XD So maybe I should stop trying so hard. . .
And you're very welcome and deserving, of course! I'm just a typically dissatisfied artists with steep standards always looming an inch above me reach. If ever I become too complacent with my abilities, it's time to find a new set of talents!
