Malediction

"You don't look like me," Irene whispered, looking into the dark mirror in the Hexman's office. He had left for his storeroom, undoubtedly for another salve that would smell of pickled evil and do little good to the growing affliction on Irene's person. She sighed and began to turn away from the mirror.

She stopped when her reflection... did not.

The dark doppelganger bit her lip and blinked. Irene, who had not done either, winced- both actions were painful these days.

"Go home," the reflection whispered, voice equally raspy with blood. "While you can."

I'm amazed that I don't have fake blood all over my house. Not particularly because of this deviation- I hardly used any- but just in general. It's truly a testament to the luck of a makeupper that I don't live in tracks of faux bloodiness and gore- I'm certainly not neat enough to explain that away!

Doing this was fun. Taking pictures was not. As per my usual.


Time: 7 Brides for 7 Brothers until past the barn raising.
Medium: Wolfe Brothers, plus some fake blood. Not as much as you might think.
