Yet another salutation series piece. I've been watching Ashley for some time now- and she always has blown me away with her masterful possession of her craft- street makeup that is both exceedingly wearable and dazzlingly unique. More recently she has also amazed me with some forays into character/whimsical makeup, showing some versatility that I both HIGHLY encourage (MOAR!) and admire.

I chose a variation on this deviation to salute: [link] ...and let me explain. I was iiiiiitching to do one of her more fancy, all-across the cheekbones numbers that she's recently treated us with- but I refrained because... well, the heart of her beautiful style is in her eye work, and it's all gorgeous gradients and masterful use of shadows. Now... I don't OWN any eyeshadow... ...but I still wanted to give her a shout out that wasn't just me picking the closest thing she has to MY style. It doesn't do her justice, certainly!

...I even tried to take a picture in the same pose, and cut it in the same way she does. And... get ready... I even put foundation on. And lipstick. o_O It felt WEIRD.


Time: Little Miss Sunshine, up til' sneaking Grandpa outta the hospital.
Medium: Wolfe Brothers, um... really, really old lipstick and foundation. I hope I don't die.
